In 2004, the Housing Corporation launched its two-year Preferred Partner Housing Programme as a means of ensuring greater development value and securing long-term economies of scale. As only housing associations with satisfactory regulatory and development track records receive partnering status, the Group was very pleased to be chosen as a preferred partner at the launch and again for the 2006-2008 programme.
Our current new housing development programme is worth £550 million and will produce over 4,000 new homes for both rental and ownership. We encourage the use of innovative techniques with an emphasis on environmentally friendly solutions where possible, and we are committed to creating sustainable communities.
