Tony Hughes appointed Regional Director of Thames Gateway

Tony Hughes, who has been acting as Regional Director for Southern Housing Group's Thames Gateway Region since his predecessor, Pam Bhamra, was promoted internally, has been confirmed as the post holder with immediate effect. Tony has held the post since June and went through a considerable recruitment process to be appointed to the role.
Mr Hughes has many years of experience as a social housing manager and has widespread experience of Southern Housing Group's affordable housing provision in the London Thames Gateway region.
Tony said that he was delighted to be appointed as Regional Director as the region is dynamic and in the national spotlight.
"I'm looking forward to responding to the ever increasing expectations of our residents in delivering affordable high-quality services in the fast-growing region of the Thames Gateway," said Mr Hughes.
Tony is a post-graduate of the Chartered Management Institute.
He is married with one child.
