Nick Raynsford MP joins Triathlon Homes as Chairman

Triathlon Homes, the joint venture company established by East Thames Group, First Base and Southern Housing Group to own and manage the affordable homes at Athlete’s Village, has appointed Nick Raynsford MP as Chairman. Currently the MP for Greenwich and Woolwich, Nick joined the government in 1997 and has held responsibility for housing, planning and construction, as well as being Minister for London. He was also responsible for restoring democratic city-wide government to London, creating the new Greater London Authority and commissioning its home at City Hall.
In this newly created role, Nick Raynsford will work with the Triathlon management team to guide the company in contributing to the wider regeneration of the area.
Nick has played a key role in promoting regeneration in the Greenwich and Woolwich area to date, including successful campaigns for the North Greenwich station on the Jubilee Line, the extension of the DLR to Greenwich and Woolwich, and the campaign to secure a Crossrail Station in Woolwich. Before he was elected to Parliament, Nick was Director of the Shelter Housing Aid Centre and ran a housing consultancy.
