'Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities' in the Tower Hamlets area

A new course for Mums and Dads is on offer to all Southern Housing Group residents in Tower Hamlets.

Looking after children isn’t always easy, which is why this course will help answer your important parenting questions:

  • How can I motivate my child to try their best at school?
  • How do I build a better relationship with my child?
  • How do I stop my teenager getting involved in drinking, drugs, anti-social behaviour or truanting?
  • How do I encourage my partner to participate in my child’s life?
  • How do I put boundaries in place with my child?
  • What youth and parent services are available in my community?

The Strengthening Families course is run in a friendly and supportive environment.

You will get the chance to meet lots of other parents going through the same issues as you. You can discuss your concerns and successes, and try new ideas with the support and guidance of others. Free food and childcare is also provided.

The course, run in partnership with Tower Hamlets Family Intervention Project, starts on 15 September, runs from 9.30 am – 12.30 pm and lasts for 13 weeks.

Venue: Arnhem Wharf Primary School, Isle of Dogs, London E14 3RP
