Looking for a home
Investors & partners
If you used to be a council tenant and the council sold or transferred your home to Southern Housing Group, you may be eligible for the existing Right to Buy scheme.
If you would like to apply please contact our Service Centre
A copy of an application form, and more information, can be found here
Southern Housing Group has signed up to a voluntary agreement which will extend the Right to Buy offer to many more of our tenants. We’re just in the process of developing our policy for which properties will be available.
If you are a Southern Housing Group tenant, you can register your interest; we will provide more information on how you can apply to purchase your home through Right to Buy as the Government's policy becomes clearer. It's important to note that not all homes will be available for purchase. For example, specialist properties such as supported housing adapted for special need tenants, properties of historic interest or in rural areas may be excluded.
When voluntary Right to Buy is officially made available in early 2017, we will be able to provide more information on eligibility, discount levels and the application process on the website.
The Department for Communities and Local Government (CLG) has some general information about Right to Buy for housing association tenants on its website, including a short quiz that can tell you whether you might be eligible.
*From 11 May 2017 we no longer offer the Social Homebuy product. You may still enquire about other options for buying your home.
