Supported and sheltered housing

Supported housing means any kind of housing that can also offer housing related support services. Some supported housing schemes also offer personal care. We provide a variety of supported housing, for older people, disabled and vulnerable people.

Our supported housing tenants are usually:

  • referred to us by a local authority
  • existing tenants looking for a transfer or
  • applying directly to us

You can find out more about our supported housing, and if we have any availability, by contacting the service centre. Ask if there is a list where you want to live; you will then be told whether you should apply direct to us or to the housing service of the local authority where you want to live.

For your application  to be assessed, you will probably be asked for additional information about your support needs. If you are eligible for housing, you will be told what your priority will be on the waiting list.

We manage more than 50 sheltered housing schemes across southern and south east England for around 3,000 people aged 60 or over, plus a number of supported housing schemes for disabled and vulnerable people.
