We held a public exhibition in February 2019 to show our proposals and listen to the views of residents and local people. You can view all the information from that exhibition in these information boards.
Plans to extend Bucklers View and create 12 new, high quality one-bedroom homes were approved on 15 January 2020. These new lifetime homes will be adaptable for those who need extra care and support, to ensure residents can continue to live comfortably and independently as their needs change.
The new extension varies in height between 2-3 storeys and will include a new entrance area, staff facilities, improved communal lounge, enlarged kitchen, laundry and an assisted bathroom. The design includes new car parking, refuse and scooter stores and the project will also benefit existing residents as we will enhance the communal spaces to create a comfortable and safe place to live, inside and out.
For more information about the scheme you can access the planning documents on the Council's planning portal ref 19/00080/FUL.
