If you live on the Isle of Wight and think you’ve got a great idea for a business, then we’ve got an opportunity tailor-made for you.
The Pop Up Business School is offering free workshops every day from Monday 21 – Friday 25 October. Find out how to develop your ideas, promote your business and create your website, as well as get support managing business finances.
We think this is a great opportunity for budding entrepreneurs – but don’t just take our word for it!
Joanna van Blommestein took part in a Pop Up course last year and now runs her own lingerie business in Kent:
“The instructors from Pop Up are so energetic and re-sparked my enthusiasm to ‘just get going’ and start selling. I am just so, so pleased I came across Pop Up and I can honestly say it’s changed my life! I feel so proud that I’ve made the leap into setting up my own business and I know I wouldn’t have done it if I hadn’t attended Pop Up.”
Matthew McLean, our Community Investment Services Manager, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting this exciting event. We want to help people develop a business doing something they love.”
The sessions are part of a partnership between Southern Housing Group and Sovereign, another housing association in the area.
The whole project is part of a wider scheme across France and England led by Optivo, and co-funded by the Interreg France (Channel) England programme with a European Development Fund contribution of £5.9 million.
