12:00 - There have been intermittent issues with the electrical supply to East Carriage House and the surrounding areas on the Royal Arsenal Development. We now understand these were due to an equipment failure within the Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) plantroom. SSE have been on site since yesterday evening, and restored power at about 10pm, though we understand there were further power outages during the evening. As of 7am this morning we understand the electric power has been restored to all affected properties.
We also understand there may be an issue with heating and hot water supply to some properties. We’re liaising with Berkley Homes and Rendall & Rittner, who have confirmed that UK Power Networks and SSE are currently on site investigating these issues. SSE and UKPN may need to turn off the power to the blocks intermittently throughout the day as they repair the heating and hot water supplies.
