Looking for a home
Making lives better
You are in:
As autumn is now here, it’s time to switch your heating on before the temperature drops this winter to make sure that everything is in perfect working order.
Part of our duty of care to our customers is to ensure that the services in their homes are working well as we move towards to colder months.
Below are a few tests that you can do to help things get warmed up once the temperature drops.
1. Switch your heating on and check for any irregular noises
2. Check that all radiators are heating up in all areas of your home
3. Turn your thermostat up to 30 degrees and leave it on for 30 minutes
Not all customers will find an issue with their heating, but for those of you who do it’s a good idea to get the tests done to iron out any issues ahead of winter.
If you experience any issues, please get in touch with the contractor responsible for the maintenance in your area.
Energy prices will rise this October. If you experience problems paying your bills you can get support and advice from OFGEM www.bit.ly/2XocOaP. You can also contact us on 0300 020 0549, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or visit www.shgroup.org.uk/energy.
