DIVERSITY AND  INCLUSION STRATEGY AIM

GLA THEME

ACTION

We will eliminate discrimination and have an inclusive work environment where staff respect and value each other’s and our customer’s diversity and wellbeing. Managers and leaders at all levels demonstrate inclusive leadership and promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.  Our Board will also champion our commitment to Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and ensure that the Group keeps a clear focus on this aim.

Theme 1: Organisational equality, diversity & fairness.

Our established Wellbeing Team within our Human Resource function will continue to oversee and ensure the delivery of activities, resources and programme of events to support employee wellbeing, to raise employee awareness and to celebrate diversity within the Group. This is supported by Wellbeing  and Diversity Network Champions  who are colleagues from different parts of the business..

Our Network Groups will continue to champion and support colleagues along key diversity themes and to support the delivery of the Employee Wellbeing and awareness programme.

We will ensure that each Diversity Network and its champions will have a highly visible role and each Network is sponsored and supported by a Diversity Champion from within our senior leadership group.  We will publish quarterly newsletters to update the Group on their network's activities.

We will organise an annual Group-wide Equality, Diversity and Inclusion conference to bring people together to share ideas and promote the work of the Networks.

We will continue membership with  'Inclusive employers' and promote the use of their resources.

We will develop and create a diverse, representative workforce at all levels, which reflects the Group’s geography and customer base, including our Board and Committee structures.
