Southern Housing works hard to make sure that our services meet your needs. We need your feedback to do this. Our aim is to improve the service residents receive and to ensure that our policies, procedures and strategies are clear and understandable
We will be publicising on this webpage our current involvement projects and if you are interested in any of these please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org stating what project you are interested in (it can be more than one).
During this unusual time, we are only able to offer involvement opportunities remotely – this could be phone, email, competition of surveys or participating in virtual focus groups. If your preference is still face to face focus or task and finish groups, we will make a note of this and contact you again when we are able to start arranging these.
We currently have several projects that have been put on hold until after this current situation is resolved. These include:
CASI Policy Reviews
Tenancy Change Policy Review
Upcoming Opportunities to get involved!
Anti-Social Behaviour Policy
We are currently working with colleagues across the Group to review our current Anti-Social Behaviour service offer.
We are looking to get our residents involved with this policy review.
We have been approached by a number of Teams across the Group to start to consider how we can involve residents in the following:
Alterations and Improvement Policy Review
Community Investment Publication Review
Moving In Project
Lettings Policy Review
Update on ongoing projects
We are currently exploring Estate Inspections and the role of Estate Inspectors. We have formed a working group of staff and residents and recently undertook a consultation exercise to explore these roles.
We will be sharing the feedback from this exercise with the Working Group to develop the role of Estate Inspectors and improve the current Estate Inspection process.
Once the role of Estate Inspector has been formed, we will contact all interested residents with further details.
Get in touch if you are interested in the role or would like more information.
New Online Repairs Service
We have been working with residents and the IT Project Team to develop the New Online Repairs Service for individual and communal repairs. Residents from different tenures and areas took part.
In June, we will be working with residents on the final two stages of testing prior to the system going live in a pilot area. This will help the IT Project team capture any initial changes that are required.
The system will enable residents to report, schedule and track their own individual repairs and report communal repairs.
Community Investment Team Strategy Review
The Community Investment Team recently reviewed their 3 year strategy. The team provide volunteering opportunities and access to grants in addition to providing Financial Support Officers and Employment Support Officers across the Southern Housing Group (SHG) areas.
We supported them in getting residents to be part of the review of the strategy and consider what the priorities for the Team should be.
The Strategy has 3 themes - Tackling Poverty and Sustaining Tenancies, Health and Wellbeing and Neighbourliness and Communities. We have been gaining feedback on the telephone, online or through a short word document being completed.
