Triathlon Homes has residents in four blocks of N02 - Fortuna House, Karner House, Meander House and Zeller House.
The buildings were completed in 2012, and each was certified as meeting all building and fire safety regulations at the time it was built.
In 2019, the government produced new guidance to check the safety of the external wall systems. As a result, building management teams across the country must now make sure all tall buildings are compliant with the guidance and safety defects are addressed.
What steps have been taken at N02?
1. EVML has removed all ACM material from Fortuna House, Karner House, Meander House and Zeller House
2. Government funding for the removal of the ACM material has been confirmed by the MHCLG via the Building Safety Fund
What happens next?
Following the Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) panel removal, the phased programme to install the replacement cladding panels started in June and is expected to complete in December.
The works involve replacing the insulation, firestops and subframe works and then installing the new panels. The programme across the 11 buildings involved will be carried out in stages to minimise disruption to residents.
We will be in regular contact with residents in the buildings where works will take place. As the project moves forwards, updates from the contractor will be shared via the teams at Triathlon Homes.
The contractor working hours will be Monday to Friday 08:00 – 17:00. We will try and avoid Saturday working where possible, but if required this will be limited to 08:00 – 13:00.
Contractors will be using parking bays within the undercroft parking for storage. These parking bays will be surrounded by construction hoarding and will be kept secure.
Should you need to contact the on-site team out of hours, please call our Team East Village security team on 020 8221 7013.
