What are you doing to ensure residents are safe?

EVML has taken advice from fire engineers and the London Fire Brigade, and have been told all the appropriate measures are in place to ensure residents remain safe at all times.

Timing of the work

We are currently waiting for feedback from independent fire risk assessors. This will inform the scope of any work and/or mitigating measures to address the issues in the external wall system. EVML is separately getting feedback from a number of third parties to inform the next steps.

When we have the information to answer this question, we’ll let you know as soon as possible. EVML is aware of the need to resolve the issues in a timely manner.

Can I stay in my home during the work?

Yes,but it does sometimes happen that we discover, in scoping and planning the work, that we may need access to the interiors of some homes. If that is necessary we will discuss this with you beforehand.

I’m trying to sell or remortgage my home – how will this impact on that?

Leaseholders looking to sell, staircase or remortgage may be asked by their lender or potential buyer for a copy of the EWS1 form. For Festuca House, this is available in our Important Documents section.

Leaseholders in Asterid Heights may find that they will need to wait until this work is completed until they can get the paperwork to satisfy their lender or buyer. As soon as we have a timeline for this, we will inform residents.

What is the latest RICS EWS1 guidance for these buildings?

As Festuca House and Asterid Heights are both over 18m, they are not affected by recent changes to RICS guidance. They still require an EWS1 form.

How can I find out more?

We'll be updating these pages whenever there is new information.
