Mr A suspected that his neighbour may have had some mental health issues due to the kinds of things he could hear. Mr A also had some mental health issues which meant that he struggled to report issues through the Customer Service Centre so he would text our Anti-social Behaviour Caseworker whenever the noise was happening. Texting allowed Mr A to get rid of his frustrations and the caseworker to keep a record of the evidence easily.
The caseworker met with the upstairs neighbour and her husband on several occasions to offer to put them in touch with some mental health support services in the local area. The couple declined but they were able to manage the behaviour in future and the late night noise stopped.
