Following complaints from local residents our team worked with the local ward officer PC Mark McKay to gather evidence and apply to the court for a premises closure order.
PC McKay said “Everyone has the right to feel safe in their own homes and with this in mind it was important to act quickly and bring much-needed respite to residents.”
Councillor Michael Situ, Southwark Cabinet member for communities and safety said:
“The closure is an excellent result from the joint working of council officers, Southern Housing Group and the police. However, without the support of local people none of this would have been possible.
We need residents to continue to support our efforts to keep Southwark a safe place by reporting all crimes, no matter how big or small.”
