Residents Reviewers Group
We want to send out information which is easy to understand, relevant, timely and attractive to read. Help us make sure that our publications, letters and surveys are easy to read and understandable before we send them out by joining our Resident Reviewers Group. Group Wide Policy / Procedure / Strategy Review
We have numerous policies, procedures and strategy which are regularly reviewed. When the changes will have a significant impact upon the services that customers receive, we will consult to ensure that we understand the impact of any proposals. We are looking for residents who are interested in telling us the impact of any changes to the policies, procedures and strategies will have on residents. This can be done in a variety of ways for example, post, email or face to face.
User Experience
User Experience is your opportunity to let us know how we are doing. As a User Experience member, you will complete a User Experience diary sheet every time you have had to contact us. By recording your experiences, we will get a ‘real time’ account and evidence of how our services are being delivered on a day to day basis. You will need to complete and return your diary sheet as soon as you have finished your contact with us.

Estate Inspectors
This opportunity involves resident volunteers working with Southern Housing Group to keep their local area safe and clean by carrying out Estate Inspections either with staff or on their own.
You will be able to inspect your area to identify issues such as Health and Safety, Environmental Improvements and ways to build stronger communities.
This role will enable residents to engage in constructive communication with teams within Southern Housing Group and form a relationship for the area where you live and compare with other areas.
Procurement Panel
Procurement is the act of obtaining or buying goods and services. This option gives you the opportunity to be involved in this and there are opportunities to be involved before and during the tender process (this is a formal, structured invitation to suppliers to submit a bid to supply products or services) to communicate the residents needs and provide perspective to help Southern choose the right contractor / service for residents. Contract Reviewer
Do you have a background in repairs and maintenance? Would you like to act as a “critical friend” and review the contracts in place to provide a repairs service to residents. If yes, this opportunity is for you. Be part of reviewing the contracts and reviewing the performance of our contractors – providing customer insight and representing residents’ views.

Each group of residents have different needs and perspective on the services we provide. Southern Housing Group wants to ensure we capture the voice of all our residents and understand how our services may impact and affect them.
Tenant Led Forums
You can set up a group of people who have a mutual interest or similar circumstances and goals. They are normally made up of local people some of who will be directly involved with the running of the group by being a committee member. Groups often meet to campaign for local issues and to provide activities and events that can bring people together. We can support community groups to get started and to develop key skills.
